The Uplifme Resource Hub (URH) is a 501(c)(3)/nonprofit initiative addressing homelessness through prevention-focused, whole-person support comprehensive resource navigation. URH partners with other nonprofit organizations to interrupt the cycle of homelessness and address needs and opportunities related to social drivers and determinants of health. Through a 12-month program combining individual case management, bi-monthly workshops, and digital resource access, URH empowers households to achieve long-term housing stability and self-sufficiency.
We start by listening to our participants, understanding the strengths, desires, goals, and needs that each person in the household has. From there, we immediately share resources and supports that can help. Whenever possible, we also connect participants with a free computer, free or low-cost Internet, free gym membership, and free furniture for their home!
We also offer online workshops, twice per month, through a 12-month learning program. Our topics include:
- Housing
- Employment and Job Training
- Education
- Health Insurance and Benefits
- Technology Access and Understanding (Computers and/or Internet)
- Home Furniture
- Exercise and Wellness
- Parenting, Caregiving, and Family Support
- Childcare
- Eldercare (Caring for older adults)
