Wonderspring, a nonprofit providing high-quality early childhood education and school-age care services, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Zakiyyah Boone shares exciting news about their first-ever poverty simulation event happening in just a few weeks.
This poverty simulation will immerse community leaders and volunteers in the everyday challenges faced by families living in poverty. By engaging in this eye-opening experience, participants will gain empathy and a deeper understanding of the struggles these families encounter. Wonderspring believes that a cross-sector approach built on empathy is essential for improving how we serve our community.
Zakiyyah highlights Wonderspring’s comprehensive programs, from infant and toddler care to before-and-after school programs and summer camps, serving around 800 children annually. With a commitment to quality, diversity, and inclusion, Wonderspring ensures every child, family, and staff member feels they belong.
